When bonded storage makes sense

Re-export

Goods that will leave the Kingdom again can stay under customs control instead of being cleared for the local market.

Project phasing

Large project consignments arrive at once and are released to site in phases, with duty paid on each release.

Several releases from one shipment

Stock is drawn down as orders come in, instead of clearing the whole container on arrival.

Cash flow

Duty and 15% import VAT fall due on the goods released, not on the whole consignment at arrival.

How it works

  1. 1

    Arrival into bond

The consignment goes into a free-zone or bonded-port facility under customs control.

  2. 2

    Release request

When you need goods, we file the declaration for the quantity released, with SABER or SFDA approvals where the product needs them.

  3. 3

    Duty and VAT

Customs duty, 15% import VAT and the customs fee are paid on that declaration.

  4. 4

    Riyadh stock or site delivery

The released part goes to our Riyadh warehouse for ambient storage or straight to your site.

Which facility and procedure fit your goods is confirmed before arrival.
