Frequently Asked Questions

QWhich ports and airports does my cargo move through?

Sea cargo leaves from Houston, Savannah, and New York/Newark and lands at Jeddah Islamic Port or King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam. Air cargo departs JFK (New York), ORD (Chicago), IAH (Houston) and LAX (Los Angeles) and lands at whichever Saudi airport is closest to your buyer: Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam.

QHow long does it take?

Sea freight is typically 5 to 7 weeks port to port. Air freight is typically 3 to 6 days. Urgent spare parts move on the next available flight; see our urgent freight service.

QWhat if my company has no Saudi entity?

We act as your Importer of Record: we handle the SABER requirements and are the importer named on the FASAH customs declaration, so no Saudi company is needed on your side.

QWhat do I need to arrange before the cargo leaves the USA?

On your side: Electronic Export Information (EEI) filed in AES when a Schedule B line is worth more than USD 2,500 or when an export licence is required, so the ECCN or EAR99 classification should be confirmed first and a certificate of origin issued by a US chamber of commerce. On the Saudi side, we handle your SABER registration and certification end to end, the FASAH declaration, duties and the 15% VAT.

QWhich Incoterm should I use?

FOB gives you control of the international leg and the Saudi-side costs, and is what we recommend for most first shipments. DDP puts us in control end to end, which suits exporters who want one invoice and no local coordination. We confirm the right structure before you book.

QWhat shipment sizes do you handle?

By sea we ship full container loads (20 ft and 40 ft FCL). For smaller or urgent shipments we quote commercial air freight.
